Randy G. Harmon

Randy Harmon is principal of Foundations Business Development Group, LLC where he serves as a coach to the CEOs of start-up and early stage businesses.  He coordinates SBIR and STTR training and proposal preparation assistance services for the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology.  Randy is also a Technology Commercialization Consultant with the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers (NJSBDC) of Rutgers Business School.  He helps scientists, engineers and small businesses pursue financing for the development of their technology and its transition out of the lab and into the marketplace. Randy worked for NJSBDC for 12 years prior to launching Foundations in 2005.  Among his responsibilities at NJSBDC, he managed the Rutgers Technology Business Incubator in New Brunswick from 1995 until 2001.

Randy holds a BS degree from Cornell University and a MBA degree from Rutgers.  He is active within New Jersey’s entrepreneur and venture development community and sits on the board of the New Jersey Entrepreneurial Network.  Randy makes frequent presentations on launching, financing and growing science and technology-based businesses and business incubation. He has also written several articles on various aspects of small business financing and technology commercialization.
