Dr. Kenneth S. and Audrey S. Gould Lecture Series in Molecular and Cellular Medicine

 

The Gould Lecture Series was established in 2003 through the generosity of Dr. Kenneth S. and Audrey S. Gould.  The lecture series, which takes place annually at the Child Health Institute, hosts distinguished scientists who are at the forefront of research on the molecular and cellular basis of disease.

Scientists, colleagues and students from throughout the Rutgers campus including nearby universities and scientific communities are all welcome to attend.  The Gould Lecture Series takes place during the Spring Semester in CHINJ Conference Room 3101 or CAB 1302.  Announcements for the series are sent out University-wide.

Child Health Institute - Invited Speaker Series

 

This newly established lecture series takes place monthly at the Child Health Institute and hosts distinguished scientists who are at the forefront of research on the molecular and cellular basis of disease. The lecture series is sponsored by the generous support of the Kenneth and Audrey Gould Endowment.  Scheduled speakers for 2017-2018 academic year include: Julie Blendy, PhD (December 12, 2017): Michael Brenner, MD (February 13, 2018); Marta Filizola, PhD (April 16, 2018); and Paul A. Child Health Institute - Science Seminar Series

Immunology & Inflammation Journal Club

 

The Basic and Tumor Immunology Journal Club is a weekly meeting that welcomes all scientists from the Child Health Institute, Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ and Rutgers University.  The goal of the meetings is to learn about the field of Immunology, to keep abreast of new developments in the field and to foster informal discussion and interactions between basic, translational and clinical scientists.  Students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty all contribute to the meeting by presenting and leading discussions about recently published journal articles.  The series meets weekly from September to July on Wednesdays from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in CHINJ Conference Room 3209.   Pizza is provided.

Research in Progress Seminar Series

 

The Research in Progress Seminar Series is a bi-weekly seminar series developed as part of the on-going training and research dissemination.  The aim of the series is to foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration to increase awareness of the reserach currently being conducted in the Child Health Institute laboratories.  The meetings are held twice per month on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in CHINJ Conference Room 3101 and are open to all CHINJ Faculty, students and staff.
