Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

The residency manages a 24/7 Family Medicine Service and does most of its inpatient rotations at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH). It is the hub of a clinically-integrated medical campus that includes the NCI-designated Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the Child Health Institute of New Jersey and The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital. Over 1,300 physicians in every specialty are affiliated with the hospital, and over 200,000 patients are treated annually at RWJUH.

Family Medicine at Monument Square

Residents learn ambulatory care working side-by-side with attending physicians at Family Medicine at Monument Square (FMMS), a NCQA certified Patient-Centered Medical Home. It is conveniently located in downtown New Brunswick. FMMS hosts over 25,000 patient visits per year in 20 examination rooms. We provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, acute and chronic illness management, gynecologic and minor surgical procedures, integrated behavioral health, alternative and complementary therapies. Equipped with electronic health records, evidence-based medicine and an educational monitoring system, FMMS is the quintessential learning environment.

Francies E. Parker Home

Residents obtain Geriatric continuity experience at the Francis E. Parker Homes. Parker Home is a non-profit organization founded in 1907. Facilities include two skilled nursing homes: Parker at Landing Lane New Brunswick, Parker at River Road in Piscataway; and an assisted living residence, Parker at Stonegate in Highland Park; and Parker at The Pavilion Community Center. Parker provides the highest quality care in a homelike setting and is one of the few registered www.edenalt.org Homes in New Jersey. Parker Home continues to lead the State in developing innovative ways to meet the physical, spiritual and social needs of its residents.

Francies E. Parker Home

Eric B. Chandler Health Center

Residents spend time at the Eric B. Chandler Health Center, a federally qualified community health center, during their Ambulatory Pediatrics and Community Medicine rotations. The experience provides residents with an opportunity to learn first-hand the challenges faced by the uninsured community in New Brunswick. There are many innovative programs at the Health Center that enable patients to receive high quality care despite the lack of resources. The center is located one block from Family Medicine at Monument Square and offers a broad array of primary care services including Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, OB/GYN, HIV services and Dental. Eric B. Chandler is jointly operated by its board and by Rutgers.
