Pain Medicine

How To Apply

Fellowships begin in July and are 12 months. Exceptions can be made on an individual basis.

Our program does not go through ERAS. You will need to submit the application below with all of the required documents. We will start accepting applications for 2019 in May of 2018.

Responsibilities of the Fellowship Program include: On-call rotation on the Acute & Chronic Pain Service, active participation on the clinic and hospital services, lecture series, journal club, administrative responsibilities for the rotating residents program and, clinical and/or basic science research projects. The Pain Fellowship Program is a one year program.

Pain Management fellows must have a N.J. Medical License before they commence their fellowship. Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited US program in Anesthesia, Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The University also only accepts J-1 Visa's at this time.

Pain Medicine Fellowship Application

Please mail your completed application with an updated curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation and a transcript of your medical school to: William R. Grubb, MD, Program Director, Rutgers RWJMS, CAB 3100, 125 Paterson Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Attn.: Doreen M. Stillwell. You can also email completed applications to, Doreen M. Stillwell. Due to size limitations on the internal email at the University you may need to break down your attachments to more than 1 email.
