Continuing Education

Some professional organizations require their members to participate in professional development activities
to increase their expertise in their practice or field and to keep their licenses current.

Continuing Education (CE) is the term used to recognize the activities approved by certain organizations for professional development.

Continuing education recognition is available to participants for many Boggs Center courses, the Developmental Disabilities Lecture Series, NJLEND Continuing Education Events, and Conferences.

Continuing Education earned through this program cannot be used for college credit.

Continuing Education Procedures

All participants who have attended required classes, participated in activities and exercises, and submitted written assignments are awarded a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course. Participants must sign-in at the beginning of each course and sign out when certificates are awarded.

Only full credit is given for each course. Participants who leave early or do not adhere to scheduled break times are not awarded certificates.

Submit a copy of your Certificate to your professional organization according to the process established by the organization. If you have questions about this process, contact the organization directly. The Certificate also serves as verification of attendance for individuals to submit to their employer.

Replacement certificates cannot be provided. Please retain a copy for your file.

Evaluation Forms

Evaluation forms are distributed to all attendees. All participants are asked to complete the evaluation form at the end of each course. Follow up evaluations may also be sent via email approximately following your training course. Your feedback will help us to meet your training needs.
