Assistive Technology & Mobile Devices as a Support Strategy in the Connected World of People with Disabilities

Technology is an everyday part of the world we live in and often take for granted. This session will focus on a wide variety of mobile technologies and apps that can make an enormous difference in the independence of people with disabilities and be an asset to those who support them. Examples of how to use the various types of technology will be shared throughout the presentation, along with tips for finding and selecting appropriate technology. Live demonstrations will engage participants in learning how to use the most cutting edge apps to work more efficiently and effectively, while enhancing independence for those they support.
