PCAST: Effective Meeting Facilitation for Educational Settings
This interactive workshop teaches key person centered thinking skills and tools designed to improve the quality of your meetings. These facilitation techniques are applicable in all settings including: formal person centered planning, IEPs and multidisciplinary educational planning meetings, and department meetings. Learners will leave with practical strategies and tools that address the diverse needs of students, families, and educators in New Jersey schools. These approaches can be used immediately to create and maintain a positive meeting climate, build trusting and equitable relationships, and collaboratively problem solve and design action planning strategies that are built around student strengths and needs. Case studies, role plays, and videotaped examples will be used. This workshop is appropriate for administrators, case managers, educators, family members, and other interested professionals.
