Participants will learn fundamental skills, tools, and processes to implement person centered approaches in schools. These include methods for gathering, organizing, and presenting person centered information, and implementing strategies designed to improve post school outcomes for students. Contains some material previously delivered in the one day PCAST Workshop.

PCAST: Utilizing Person Centered Approaches to Improve IEP Meetings


Participants will learn key person-centered thinking skills, tools and facilitation techniques that serve to improve the quality and effectiveness of IEP meetings and process. These methods that will be shared and practiced are also applicable to other meeting events and settings. Learners will leave with practical long and short-term strategies that address the diverse needs of students, families, and educators in New Jersey schools.


Note: Northern sessions for this workshop are full at this time. Additional sessions will be offered in the Fall and going forward as part of our regular training offerings.
