Sick Calls

For Sick Calls, please use the MAIN NUMBER and follow prompts for the nurses line during office hours, and the service during off hours. Leaving messages on a staff members personal line WILL NOT guarantee a call back.  If a nurse is unable to answer the line at that moment, please leave your name, phone number, the patient's name, date of birth and what the problem is.  A nurse will call you back as promptly as possible.  If you do not receive a call back in a timely fashion, please do not hesitate to call back and try to speak to somebody. If you need to reach a physician after hours, please follow the prompts to call the answering service.

For Prescription Renewals

Please call the above number and follow the prompts for prescription renewals. Call our staff at least 1 business day before your prescription is about to run out (longer for mail orders).  We will need to know the pharmacy telephone number, the names of the medications needed and your/your child's date of birth.  Please specify whether the prescription is for 30 or 90 days.

For Scheduling Appointments

Please call the designated program and make an appointment with the pulmonary scheduler.  Inform the scheduler that your child has CF so that you/your child gets an appropriate appointment time and day. If you need an appointment urgently or cannot get an appointment through the appointment line, please call our office and we will assist you.

Weekdays 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM and Weekends and Holidays

Please call the above numbers and the answering service will page the physician on call.  Please call only with an emergency or illness.  Non-urgent messages will be answered the next day and Prescriptions will not be REFILLED during non-business hours.

* If you have trouble getting through the phone system, please let us know so that we can rectify the problem.

* We will make every effort to call you back/ call in your prescriptions as soon as possible.  We get many calls each day and need to return the most urgent calls first.  Depending on the activities of the Center on any day, non-urgent calls may need to be returned later in the day.
