Mr. Dallmann is Assistant Professor and Director of the New Brunswick Community Interpreter Project in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is a certified Spanish-English healthcare interpreter and leads a robust training program for dual-role interpreters in New Jersey hospitals and community health centers. He is currently a member of the Leadership Council and C0-Chair of the Education and Webinar workgroup for the New Jersey Statewide Network for Cultural Competency. He is also a member of the Executive Board of The Language Center in the Rutgers School of Arts of Sciences, where he teaches a course on Healthcare Interpreting. He is leading a project to develop a 12-credit online certificate program for the SAS The Language Center funded by the Dean’s Office and the Entrepreneurial Grant program.

His research interests center on patient-provider communication, interpreter-mediated communication, and language and social interaction in the healthcare context.
