Geriatrics

Fellows

Our 2008-2009 fellows are Drs. Arash Tadbiri and Joshua Uy. Dr. Tadbiri is a graduate of the UMDNJ – RWJMS Family Medicine Residency program at Capital Health System in Plainsboro NJ. Dr. Joshua Uy did his Family Medicine residency training in Chicago and is pursuing graduate work in public health through the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Graduates from 2008 include Dr. Sajida Mokhashi who is enjoying her newly born daughter while seeking a future clinical role within an academic setting and Dr. Bindhu Thomas, who has joined the medical school faculty at Columbia University in the fall of 2008. 2007 graduates Drs. Kala Rudraraju and Roland Fuertez have relocated out of state and joined successful group clinical practices in Tennessee and California, respectively. Prior graduates have remained in New Jersey to serve as both clinical geriatricians as well as residency faculty in medicine and family medicine training programs. Many continue to offer support and clinical exposure opportunities to current trainees. Fellowship graduates taking their CAQ examination in geriatric medicine have had an 80% passing rate.
