Message from the Chief
The faculty participate in medical student education by working with students in their biochemistry, physiology and pathophysiology courses and by providing supervised clinical experience. At the postgraduate level, the faculty supervise resident physicians and mentor clinical fellows training to become endocrinologists. The faculty and fellows are actively engaged in daily consultative services at Robert Wood University Hospital and in patient care and consultative services in the Clinical Academic Building. The faculty share their clinical experiences with other physicians throughout New Jersey in continuing medical education seminars and often the faculty and fellows present their observations at national meetings. I have been especially privileged to direct the skilled and talented fulltime, voluntary and clinical faculty physicians of this division while training the next generation of physicians and endocrinologists. This would not be possible without the dedicated services of our staff including nurses, clinical and laboratory technologists, our medical care assistant, secretaries, clerk and the fellowship supervisor of our endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism training program.
