What made you choose RWJMS: Amazing sense of community amongst the residents, faculty, and staff

My ideal Saturday consists of: Trying out new recipes

If I could have any super power, it would be: Teleportation

Random Fact: I've donated 28 inches of my hair (over two separate haircuts)

If I weren't an ObGyn, I would be: A pilot

If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be: Smooth peanut butter

My first job was: Organizing paper patient charts at a doctor's office

 

Aileen Baffo, MD

Hometown: Somerset, NJ

Undergraduate institution: Rutgers New Brunswick

Medical school: Keck School of Medicine of USC

What made you choose RWJMS: The amount of support the residents, Dr. Ebert and other attendings have for one another unmatched and very evident on the interview day. I also wanted to be close to home for residency!

Currently binge watching: Power (Not exactly binging but making sure I catch it every week!)

Next stamp in passport: Zanzibar, Tanzania

Last stamp in passport: Bali, Indonesia

If I weren't an ObGyn, I would be: Full-time YouTube natural hair vlogger :)

If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be: Reese’s

Favorite movie: The Black Panther 🙅🏿‍

Haley Glatthorn, MD

Hometown: San Diego, CA

Undergraduate institution: University of Michigan

Medical school: Drexel University College of Medicine

What made you choose RWJMS: Incredibly friendly and happy group of residents, and strong training in every subspecialty

If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be: Tacos or froyo, impossible to choose. I could eat Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I also have the biggest sweet tooth.

Favorite NJ activity: Jersey shore!! (it's much nicer than it seems on the TV show)

Hidden Talent: I'm a trained yoga teacher :)

My first job was: A lifeguard on the beach in San Diego (I might have peaked at 15)

If I weren't an ObGyn, I would be: An insta-famous travel blogger

Next stamp in passport: Costa Rica!

 

Amy J. Patel, MD

Hometown: South Brunswick, NJ

Undergraduate institution: The College of New Jersey (TCNJ)

Medical school: Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (Pretty much been in New Jersey my whole life!)

What made you choose RWJMS: How supportive the residents seemed of one another; it really seemed that they were much more friends than coworkers!

Next stamp in passport: The Virgin Islands. I'm going there for a destination wedding this October!

If I could have any super power, it would be: Telekinesis, I mean how many times have we all forgotten something in the other room and wished we could just call it to us??

Favorite board game: Settlers of Catan. I actually absolutely love board games and am super competitive!

If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be: Ice cream! Honestly, though, if it was healthy and had all the nutrition I ever needed, I could eat ice cream for life.

Favorite avenger: Thor, because, well, he's literally a god who wields the power of thunder. And also he's played by Chris Hemsworth!

Favorite book: The whole entire Harry Potter series, but if I had to pick one, then Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! Also, East of Eden by John Steinbeck and Chromosome 6 by Robin Cook.

Jharna Patel, MD

Medical school: Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (See the pattern forming?!)

What made you choose RWJMS: The camaraderie amongst the residents and Dr. Ebert is an amazing PD!

Favorite NJ activity: Going to the beach!

Favorite sports team: E-A-G-L-E-S

If I could have any superpower, it would be: Teleportation, would never have to pay for a vacation ever again!

Favorite Disney Princess: He's not a princess but Mushu!

Favorite board game: Pandemic or Settlers of Catan!

If I weren't an ObGyn, I would be: A Marine Biologist living in Hawaii with a dog named Jumbo.
