How to Apply

Positions are offered to graduates of medical or osteopathic schools in the United States or Canada or international medical graduates with an ECFMG certificate holding permanent resident status or eligible for a J-1 visa in the USA.
Applications are only accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and should be submitted by December 31st for positions beginning July 1 of the following year.

The department does not have a cut-off for USMLE scores, however, scores on USMLE 1 and 2 are taken into consideration. University policy does not allow sponsorship of H1 or H1B visas, but does accept J1 visas sponsored by the ECFMG. Age and year of graduation from medical school are not criteria for applying. Please review our housestaff contract and institutional policies found on our GME website.

After a preliminary review of your completed application, we will contact you via e-mail to schedule an interview. Interviews for invited applicants take place from November through January.

Submit the following documents through ERAS only:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Copy of USMLE Scores
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • Dean's Letter
  • Copy of ECFMG certificate (IMGs)
  • Copy of Visa (IMGs)
