The core adolescent medicine training experience for the pediatric residents is the month-long Adolescent Medicine rotation. Each resident has an individualized schedule.  Residents see patients with Dr. Snyder in the Adolescent practice at the CHINJ as well as at the Middlesex County STD Clinic and the Willets Health Center at Rutgers University (college health).  Sports medicine experiences include performing pre-participation sports physicals at several area middle and high schools and going to the office of a sport medicine physician.  Other requirements of the rotation are:  a written exam, readings, and reviewing websites geared to adolescents.  Web-based learning modules are also used.

Didactic teaching activities include various talks for pediatric residents and medical students.  Dr. Snyder has been a mentor to pediatric residents and medical students, including individual teaching sessions, evaluating OSCEs, and providing career guidance.
