Interventional Radiology Fellowship:

The Interventional Radiology fellowship at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is a
one-year accredited ACGME program. It is primarily centered at the Robert Wood Johnson
University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey – a level I trauma center and tertiary care
center affiliated with the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

The program accepts one fellow per year through the fellowship match.

Throughout the year, fellows are exposed to a wide variety of procedures, including
trauma interventions, genitourinary and biliary interventions, venous access, IVC
filter placement, biopsy, abscess drainages, uterine artery embolization, and TIPS.
In addition, fellows will spend a significant amount of time learning interventional
oncology techniques, including chemoembolization, SIRT, and thermal ablation. The
affiliation with CINJ provides not only a wide range of oncologic cases, but also an
opportunity to conduct cancer-related research.

Please contact Fern Lakatos, our Radiology Administrative Coordinator, for more information.
