Dual Degree Programs

MD/MS in Bioinformatics

UMDNJ and the New Jersey Institute of Technology offer a joint Master of Science degree program in Biomedical Informatics. All students complete at least 36 credit hours of which at least 30 hours must be formal course work. This includes: 18 credit hours of core courses, six credit hours in an area of emphasis/specialization, six credit hours of electives, and six credit hours of directed thesis or project. Most students also need an additional 3 credit prerequisite course. This program is available to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School students after completion of the second year. Full-time study may result in program completion in 18 months.
