White Coat Ceremony

The White Coat Ceremony is traditionally placed at the end of orientation week and marks the first milestone of a student’s medical education at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. It is a time to celebrate with family, friends, faculty, and future classmates by reflecting on past accomplishments and looking forward to the challenging and rewarding future of medicine.

This year’s ceremony will take place at 2pm on Friday, August 7th 2015 at The Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard at RWJ University Hospital (125 Paterson Street - New Brunswick, NJ). Family and friends will be invited to witness the powerful moments when student’s first don the white coat and take the Hippocratic Oath. White Coat Ceremony is an emotional and memorable event and we look forward to sharing this special day with you.

We will have orientation activities and white coat preparation events on the morning of August 7th. The evening of August 7th is completely open for you to celebrate with your family and friends. Please check back throughout the summer for more information on the ceremony and ticketing information.
