Fellowship Opportunities

 

Fellowship Bonuses


Students in these SGS biomedical programs (Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology, Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, Physiology and Integrative Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and Neuroscience) who are awarded a competitive individual fellowship that meets the criteria below will receive a supplement of $2,000 per year from the SGS office for the duration of the award.
1) The fellowship must contain a scientific proposal
2) The fellowship has to be from US federal, state or private grant agencies
3) The fellowship must cover a substantial portion of the stipend and tuition.
Please contact Tina Cicolella with your Notice of Award so that the paperwork for the bonus can be initiated. 

Travel Awards

 

The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) biomedical sciences currently offers a travel award for expenses graduate students in the following PhD programs (Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology, Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, Physiology and Integrative Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and Neuroscience) and the following Master of Science programs (Clinical and Translational Science, Physiology and Integrative Biology and Biomedical Sciences) who are traveling to present papers at 1) scientific meetings, 2) for research related activities, or 3) for career training related activities. The Program Director and the Sr. Associate Dean must approve this form as well as required information PRIOR to the travel.  Please see the forms page for the Student Travel Award Approval Form.

GradFund

GradFund, the Resource Center for Graduate Student External Support at Rutgers offers support for the grant application process for all joint program students registered via either GSNB or the GSBS - New Brunswick/Piscataway.  This includes a grant wiki, group programs and individual assistance.
