The following information regarding parking in Piscataway is for clinicians who do not have Rutgers hangtags but who need to park in Piscataway for teaching responsibilities:
- Faculty who park at RWJUH need to personally send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org that includes their name, A#, Hospital Deck Card serial number, and make, model and license plate of their car. This will only need to be done once annually…I recommend doing so in August of each year so they are covered for the entire academic year. Their information will be recorded in the RU DOTS database such that, when parking enforcement attempts to write a ticket for no hangtag, their information will pop up and no ticket will be issued.
- Departments can use free scratch-offs for volunteer faculty (non-employees of Rutgers…). These can be ordered by either their host department or via the office of Education in Piscataway. These scratch-offs are not to be used by paid faculty…doing so can result in a $100 fine.
- All others who are employed by Rutgers will need to purchase a one-day (or longer) hangtag on their own from Public Safety at 335 George St.
- Brenda Coleman (Administrative Support Team) will continue to make curbside reservations for those who need it, especially outside guests, on a first come-first served basis, but the faculty member himself/herself will be responsible for having notified APS of their license plate information, etc., as described above. Brenda will NOT be sending this information to Public Safety, and it should be noted that failure to send this info at least 24 hours in advance of parking could result in a parking ticket.
