UMDNJ showcased its faculty and students who are helping to solve world health problems at a Global Health Fair held at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School on December 2, 2009.

The event included a keynote address by Adel Mahmoud, MD, PhD, senior policy analyst at Princeton University, on America’s role in tackling global health problems.

John Fiddler, RN, ANP, a field mission worker from Doctors Without Borders gave a presentation on his medical missions to Burundi and Chad.  A panel discussion followed, with University-wide representatives describing global health programs and opportunities available at their schools.

A highlight of the evening was the poster session in which pre- and postgraduate students from RWJ and NJ Medical School, NJ Dental School, and the Schools of Nursing, Public Health, & Health Related Professions presented posters on their recent medical missions abroad.
