Dan Baker, PhD and Nancy Razza, PhD, Co-Author Chapters for New NADD Book

Psychotherapy book coverDan Baker, PhD, associate professor of pediatrics and director of community positive behavior support, transition, and supported employment projects at the Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, and Nancy Razza, PhD, adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics, each co-authored chapters for NADD’s new edited book, Psychotherapy for Individuals with Intellectual Disability.

Dr. Baker co-authored the chapter, “Positive Psychology” with Richard Blumberg, PhD, associate professor at The College of New Jersey, formerly of The Boggs Center. Dr. Razza, co-authored “Treating Survivors of Sexual and Interpersonal Abuse” with Dick Sobsey, EdD, professor & director, John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada; and “Group Psychotherapy with Trauma Survivors who have Intellectual Disabilities” with Daniel J. Tomasulo, PhD, MFA, associate professor, New Jersey City University, Jersey City, NJ.

The book, Psychotherapy for Individuals with Intellectual Disability, is a major contribution to the effort to make psychotherapy available to individuals who have Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and should serve to further stimulate interest in the provision of psychotherapy treatment for individuals who have ID co-occurring with significant mental health problems. The individual authors are respected authorities in the field of providing psychotherapy treatment for persons with ID and all have contributed to the professional literature. Edited by Robert J. Fletcher, DSW, ACSW, the Executive Director of NADD, the book is now available for order through NADD.
