Healthy and Attractive Legs Are Attainable

Learn More at Free Vascular Screenings in Princeton

 vascular screening

Princeton, NJ – Painful, heavy or achy legs could be a sign of a more serious vascular disorder, including thrombophlebitis or the swelling of a vein caused by a blood clot. Vascular screenings, which take 10 to 15 minutes, can detect the severity of vein disorders and whether or not treatment can ease pain and other symptoms of varicose veins, spider veins and other disorders related to venous reflux or damaged vein valves.

The Department of Surgery at The Robert Wood Johnson Medical Group will hold a free vascular screening for the public from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012. The screenings will take place at 800 Bunn Drive, third floor, suite 303, Princeton. The screening is free, however an appointment is required by calling 609-655-5178.

A vein screening is recommended for men and women who experience painful, heavy or achy legs, and those who have visible vein disorders.  Examinations will be conducted by physicians who will discuss the results and recommend a course of action with patients.  It is best to wear loose-fitting clothing and women are asked not to wear pantyhose.

Vascular surgeons at The Robert Wood Johnson Medical Group are nationally and internationally renowned for their skill and expertise.  The group offers advanced techniques for all types of vascular disease including diagnostic testing, non-invasive treatments, traditional vascular surgery and endovascular surgery.
