Family Medicine Residency Program and RWJUH Recognized for Immunization Project

Congratulations to the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Family Medicine Residency Program and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) for receiving the 2014-15 Senior Immunization Grant Award of $10,000 from the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation.

The resulting project achieved its goal of a 25 percent increase in the number of patients over the age of 65 who had received flu and pneumonia vaccinations over the current baseline rate at RWJ Family Medicine at Monument Square.  "Outside Hospital Walls:  A Year of Discovery," is the case study story written about the immunization award project.

The Family Medicine Residency Program worked with RWJUH Community Education in its outreach efforts to the New Brunswick senior community. The residency program is grateful for the support of all residents, faculty members, the care team at Family Medicine at Monument Square, and RWJUH for making the award possible.
