Free Overactive Bladder Symposium for women to be offered at Robert Wood Johnson
New Brunswick, NJ – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (UMDNJ-RWJMS) will present its first “Overactive Bladder Symposium” for women on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Clinical Academic Building at RWJMS, Room 1302. The event is free of charge, and dinner will be served.
This gathering is for women to learn from RWJ experts the latest on detection, assessment, management and treatment of overactive bladder. Joseph Barone, MD, FACS, FAAP, associate professor and chief of the Division of Urology at UMDNJ-RWJMS and surgeon-in-chief at The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at RWJUH, will lead the symposium with presentations to include:
- Overview of Overactive Bladder by Hari Tunuguntla, MD, Assistant Professor of Urological Surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
- Alternative Medications for Spastic Bladder by Beatrix Roemeld-Hamm, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Family Medicine
- Physical Therapy and Exercise for Pelvic Floor Disorders by Mirza Gamboa, Senior Physical Therapist, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Meghan Faley, Physical Therapist, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
A question and answer session will follow the presentations and a confidential, complimentary screening questionnaire will be available.
