New Brunswick, NJ: Dr. Todd R. Vogel, of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, received the American Vascular Association/Lifeline Foundation E. J. This award is presented to assist a fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery who seeks to advance excellence and innovation in vascular health through education, advocacy, research and public awareness.

Dr. Vogel, an assistant professor of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, is an attending physician in vascular surgery and surgical critical care, as well as the medical director of the vascular laboratory at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  In 2002, he was the recipient of the Arnold P. “We congratulate Dr. Vogel on receiving this award from the American Vascular Association,” said Peter S. Amenta, MD, PhD, dean of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  “We are very proud of his accomplishments.”

The E. J. Wylie Traveling Fellowship Award provides the recipient the opportunity to briefly visit other vascular centers to stimulate academic inspiration, promote international exchange, and foster development of fraternal fellowship in vascular surgery. These objectives enhance the development of the fellow’s career in vascular surgery.
