January 14, 2020 -- Developing Your Brand in Academic Medicine

5:30 - 7:00 pm
CAB 3403-04

This workshop "Knowing Your Brand" is based upon a program developed at the University of Minnesota.  Borman-Shoap (Academic Medicine 2019) describes a "process through which faculty members identify their own personal brands and then apply this knowledge to academic engagement and advancement."  An interactive workshop will distinguish the distinct roles of Mission (who we think we are), Vision (who we want to become), Values (what informs who we are) and Brand (who others perceive us to be).  Participants will be asked to reflect upon professions accomplishments of which they are most proud, and how they represent their personal passions, before coming to the workshop.  A series of exercises will bring all to knowing your brand.  Please join us!
