The new home of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the HELIX is a public-private development in the heart of New Brunswick. Set to be completed by 2026, this state-of-the-art facility will be equipped with advanced simulation labs, translational research facilities, and much more.
The Rutgers University Board of Governors has approved a plan to seek combined accreditation for New Jersey Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School has full accreditation status from the Liaison Committee of Medical Education (LCME). The next full survey visit will occur in 2026-2027. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School was founded in 1961 by a grant from the Kellogg Foundation. From our first faculty and students to our newest buildings and exciting new community partnerships, we have shared a rich history of evolution and transformation.
