Meet the Dean

As dean of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Amy Murtha, MD is proud to partner as a physician and to support the collaborations that strengthen the school’s education, clinical, research, and community health missions. She is committed to improving health outcomes through innovative discovery and to training the next generation, while holding our beloved community at the center of our work and promoting inclusivity for all.

Campus Locations

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School has two campuses, located in New Brunswick and Piscataway. Our principal teaching hospital, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, is in New Brunswick.

Our History

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School was founded in 1961 by a grant from the Kellogg Foundation. From our first faculty and students to our newest buildings and exciting new community partnerships, we have shared a rich history of evolution and transformation.
