This session will focus on recent, notable developments of national impact related to employment of people with significant disabilities. These developments include: the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act; the Oregon Department of Justice Settlement Agreement; investigation of the AbilityOne program; national discussion of sub-minimum wages; changes and guidance from the Centers on Medicare and Medicaid Services; and the Final Report and Recommendations of the US Department of Labor Advisory Committee on Increasing Competitive Integrated Employment for Individuals with Disabilities.
