Human service organizations and systems are charged with developing and implementing supports that help people achieve the lives they want as fully included members of their communities. This session provides a framework for organizations to continuously define, measure, and improve quality of life and quality of services. The presentation will discuss the history of quality metrics – including an in-depth look at The Council on Quality and Leadership’s (CQL) Basic Assurances® and Personal Outcome Measures® tools. Methods for using data to guide person-centered planning, assist in organizational strategic planning, and promote systems transformation will be shared, along with an examination of trends over the years.
