Clinical Pastoral Education Program Students Graduate

Supports.
Rev. Alice Walsh, MDiv, Granted Certification as ACPE Supervisory Candidate
The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) has granted introductory
certification as a Supervisory Candidate to Alice F. Walsh, MDiv. Working alongside
Rev. Bill Gaventa, Rev. Walsh is expanding The Boggs Center's current Clinical
Pastoral Education Program to include more chaplain
interns who will meet the
spiritual and emotional needs of persons with developmental disabilities and their families. A
summer intensive CPE program is being planned for 2011.
Sunne-Ryse Smith, PsyD, Awarded Doctorate of Psychology
Congratulations to Sunne-Ryse Smith, Training and Consultation Specialist at
The Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, for successfully
defending her dissertation proposal in School Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson
University.
Dan Baker, PhD, Promoted to Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Congratulations to Dan Baker, PhD, Assistant Professor and Director of Community Positive Behavior Support, Transition, and Supported Employment Projects, on his promotion to Associate Professor of Pediatrics.
Rev. William C. Gaventa, MDiv, Receives Stetson University Distinguished Alumni Award
Rev. William C. Gaventa was honored by Stetson University with the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2009 for his outstanding achievements in his profession and life,
which has brought distinction and special recognition to Stetson University.
Rev. Gaventa is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Director, Community and Congregational Supports, at The Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental
Disabilities. The award was presented on March 21, in DeLand, FL.
