Dr. Malhotra is actively involved in multiple committees and research initiatives. Her interests include virology- particularly enteroviruses, MRSA infections, pediatric immunizations, pediatric HIV and international travel. She is actively involved in resident and student medical education and is the Division Director of Medical Education. Dr. Malhotra is actively involved in the community and enjoys participating in Women in Medicine/Science forums for high school and college students.   As an advocate for children's literacy, Dr. Malhotra is director of the Pediatric AIDS Reach Out and Read Program. Also, with a vivid interest in international health, Dr. Malhotra has organized and participates in medical missions to Kenya, Botswana and India with a particular focus on pediatric health care.
