Graduate Medical Education Advisory Committee

Overview


The Graduate Medical Education Advisory Committee (GMEAC), led by the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education, oversees all ACGME-accredited and unaccredited programs at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). GMEAC is charged with reviewing the quality of GME trainees' training and working environment within the institution and the participating sites as regulated by the accreditation agencies, such as ACGME, AMA, AAMC, NRMP. GMEAC is also tasked with establishing policies and procedures for the training programs.  The committee reports to Rutgers Health GMEC and obtains guidance and approval to implement any changes necessary for the improvement of Rutgers RWJMS GME programs.

GMEAC Meeting Dates for the academic year 2022-2023

Meetings will take place every month. Meetings will be held via Zoom. Invites via the GMEAC listserve. To participate, please reach out to the GME office staff.

Subcommittees currently active at Rutgers RWJMS:

Housestaff - Resident/Fellow Council - open to all housestaff
- Meetings are typically from August - June of each Academic year.
- July is held at the discretion of the council, due to vacation scheduling.

Wellness Committee - open to all RWJMS housestaff and PDs/Faculty
