Dr. Donovan Named EMS Physician of the Year

Colleen Donovan, MD, assistant professor of emergency medicine, was honored by the N.J. Department of Health's Office of Emergency Medical Services and the New Jersey EMS Council as an "Outstanding EMS Physician" for 2016. Dr. Donovan was one of two physicians honored by the state for their hard work and dedication to the provision of emergency medical services in New Jersey.

The award was presented in November at the New Jersey Statewide Conference on EMS, Atlantic City, which was attended by more than 700 EMS physicians, administrators, managers, educators and providers. More than 1,100 people watched the event live on the Web.

In addition to Dr. Donovan's award, the state recognized members of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Mobile Health Service team for Outstanding EMS Call of the Year and Outstanding Specialty Care Transport Nurse of the Year.

Congratulations, Dr. Donovan and the RWJ team, on your recognition!
