SARS-CoV-2, researchers and physician-scientists mobilized. Faced with a lack of knowledge to efficiently treat the novel virus, health care professionals faced an unprecedented moment of learning by trial and error. But with the unknown came opportunity, and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School was prepared, armed with the expertise and infrastructure to lead the effort in investigating the world’s newest deadly disease.
