Dear Colleagues,
We are now accepting applications for the next Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Staff Mentoring Program (SMP) cohort, launching in January 2023.
This yearlong program has two pathways for engagement: traditional mentoring and peer-to-peer mentoring. The traditional mentoring pathway pairs early-mid career professionals with more senior career level staff mentors (based on availability). The peer-to-peer mentoring pathway pairs professionals at similar career stage together. Both pathways foster professional development and career growth while building networks across RBHS. The goals of the program are to promote a culture of mentorship, professional development, and collaboration amongst diverse staff members.
The RBHS Staff Mentoring Program is open to all staff with 3 or more years of service, however space is limited and contingent on available mentors (up to 30 staff members will be accepted).
If selected in cohort, you will be expected to meet with your mentoring partner monthly (at a mutually convenient time) and attend monthly sessions.
If you have any questions about the RBHS Staff Mentoring program, please contact tynisha.coleman@rutgers.edu.
Regards,
Sangeeta Lamba, MD, MS-HPEd, Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion
Tynisha Coleman, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Inclusion, and Development
