The Department of Neurological Surgery offers an outstanding education in neurosurgery for our medical students, an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited categorical Neurosurgical Residency Training Program, and a two-year Committee on Advanced Sub-specialty Training (CAST) certified Endovascular Neuroradiology Fellowship Program taught by faculty from both the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School based in New Brunswick, New Jersey and the New Jersey Medical School based in Newark, New Jersey.

The Department of Neurosurgery has a full-time neurosurgical laboratory and specialty labs in Traumatic Brain Injury, Spine Biomechanics, Spinal Cord Injury, and Cerebrovascular Computational studies. The department is involved in numerous basic, translational, and clinical research projects throughout all subspecialties of neurosurgery.
NTICe represents a model of collisions, where you are intentionally bringing multidisciplinary knowledge together and curating ideas through working groups to generate a new treatment for patients. Our neurosurgeons are among the most experienced in the state and use the latest technology to treat a wide range of neurological conditions and nervous system disorders. Our team performs countless brain and spine surgeries every year, correcting malformations, removing brain and spine tumors, and providing pain relief caused by neurological disease or trauma. Our neurosurgical patients receive state-of-the-art treatments for brain, spine, and other delicate neurosurgical procedures.
