Bio Summary
Dr. Seema Amin is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical school and serves as the Medical Director for the pediatric palliative care team known as the Pediatric Advanced Comprehensive Care Team (PACCT) at Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital. She received her DO degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency at Akron Children’s Hospital. She went on to complete her first fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park NY. She spent one year at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Hospitalist in the division of oncology/bone marrow transplant and pediatric critical care medicine. After that, she went on to complete a second fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, DE. She currently has three board certifications (general pediatric, pediatric hematology/oncology and hospice/palliative medicine). In her current role as medical director, she is working on programmatic development and expansion for the pediatric palliative care program. Her goal is to continue to expand the reach of services throughout NJ so all children can have access to proper pediatric palliative care. Her research interest is focused on educational curriculum development for primary pediatric palliative care as well as communication training for medical students and residents.

Research Interests
Dr. Amin's primary research interests include communication training and primary palliative care education. I have structured several curriculums for residents to teach basic palliative care principles and how to navigate challenging conversations.
