Beyond the Book | RBHS Book Club Reading "Caste" by Isabel Wilkerson
Join Beyond the Book, a book club for members of the RBHS community to come together and discuss the book “Caste” by Isabel Wilkerson.
The book club will be meeting virtually on the dates below at 4:30pm -5:30pm.
February 7th | Part 1 through Part 2
March 7th | Part 2 through Chapter 12
April 4th | Chapter 13 through Chapter 22
May 9th | Chapter 23 - Epilogue
Twenty (20) people that sign up for all 4 meetings will be randomly selected to receive a FREE hard copy of the book.

Gita Lamba, MD, Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion at RBHS; Vice President for Faculty Development and Diversity in University Equity and InclusionNyeema Watson, PhD, Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Inclusion and Civic Engagement at RU-CamdenSherri-Ann Butterfield, PhD, Executive Vice Chancellor at RU-NewarkWomen of color often experience leadership roles quite differently from men and white women leaders. Using Crenshaw's (1993) work on intersectionality as a framework, panelists will share their leadership journey, discuss strategies to mitigate challenges related to gender and race, and provide tools for women of color to advance into leadership. All current and future faculty are welcome.
