A Pivotal Milestone
Each year, we celebrate this annual nationwide event known as Match Day, when our students open envelopes to learn where they will complete their residencies and the next step in their medical education.
97% – 2024 Match Rate
93.5% – National Average
This year, 97 percent of the 159 graduating students who participated matched to a program of their choice. Thirty-six students will stay in New Jersey to do their residencies, 24 of whom will continue to train at Rutgers. Others will do their residencies at programs including Massachusetts General, Stanford, New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center, Yale, and Mayo Clinic.
