Bio

Ying Chen is an assistant professor at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Science and Technology of China with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering. He received a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Princeton University.

His areas of interest include genomic data analysis to identify driver genes and pathways, applying machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to model disease risk and drug response based on genomic alterations, and identifying genetic bases for pediatric diseases such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Congenital Heart Defect (CHD).
