Alumni Association
President's Letter
Dear alumni and friends:
I am delighted to introduce myself as the president of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Alumni Association’s board of directors. I have served on the board the past five years, and am looking forward to continuing to build our alumni activities and strengthen the bond between our alma mater and all its alumni.
Among my goals are to help connect alumni with similar interests and offer more opportunities for social activities, as well as raise more funds for students. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and update your email address to make sure you are receiving special alumni communications and invitations to events. For the time being, alumni communication is only being sent via email.
Looking forward to a great year for alumni!
Perry Ritota, MD '89
President, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Alumni Association
Annual Fund
No one better appreciates a medical school’s costs and benefits than its alumni. Looking back, many physicians clearly recall their own balancing act between studying and paying bills. Today, medical student debt is a national challenge. Our students receive an exceptional education, however, their indebtedness reached a median of $180,000 in 2018, 11 percent more than the national debt average.
Through their generous gifts, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School alumni are helping to ensure the future of academic excellence at the medical school by providing students with scholarships. The Alumni Association and the entire Robert Wood Johnson Medical School family thank you for your generous contributions and continued support.

Annual Mates David & Hinna Stahl Memorial Lecture
The Stahl Memorial Lecture series began in 1998 with a donation by Theodore Stahl, MD, and Eva Stahl, MD, one year earlier, to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Both life-long physicians; Ted a radiologist and Eva a dermatologist, the bioethics inherent in medicine was always a topic of great interest to them and the funds were to be used to invite top bioethicists to the medical school to speak on topics of interest to the community, faculty, students and staff alike.
Robert Wood Johnson Medicine
Robert Wood Johnson Medicine is the biannual magazine of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This publication has been highlighting our community’s achievements in education, research, patient care, community service, and alumni accomplishments for more than 20 years.
