Overview

The Center Advancing Research and Evaluation for Person-Centered Care (CARE-PC) is a cross-disciplinary partnership mobilizing resources across the multiple schools and institutes of Rutgers Health. Our focus is to better enable patients across health systems to make informed health decisions and play a role in their own care. The center serves as a coordinated, interdisciplinary community of health care, health services, and public health research professionals working together to assess and address factors that impact care.

Breaking Down Barriers

Research outcomes that break down barriers stemming from cultural, language, social, and economic differences between clinicians, healthcare staff, and patients fosters greater communication, leading to enhanced care. This center is the core through which ideas, best practices, and learning are freely exchanged among university partners and with healthcare systems of New Jersey.

Our goal is to unite those whose mission is to improve patient outcomes and experiences, and to take root within the institutional structure as a means of continuous evaluation and learning within our health care organization.
