Bio Summary

Dr. Chefitz is a Professor of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and serves as Division Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She received her Bachelors in biochemistry from Douglass College, Rutgers University and her Medical Degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School ( now Rutgers) followed by residency training in Pediatrics at her alma mater. After completing residency, she served as a chief resident. Dr. Chefitz has worked as an academic pediatrician both in the inpatient setting and in the clinics. For the past ten years, she has focused on developing the pediatric hospital medicine program and is board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine. Dr. Chefitz academic interests include medically complex patients and medical education.
