Aixa Navia, MD

Dr. Navia joined the Family Medicine Department and the Sports Medicine Division at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in 2021. She attended medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson before moving to Fayetteville, NC to complete her Family Medicine Residency at SRAHEC-Duke Family Medicine Residency program.  She returned to NJ to complete her Sports Medicine Fellowship with Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson. She currently practices both Sports Medicine and Primary Care in addition to being involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. She also serves as an assistant team physician for Rutgers Athletics.
