Bio
Dr. Betsy Mathew has been a Family Physician and Medical Educator at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson since 2018. Dr. Mathew completed her residency in Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in 2009 and worked with underserved and immigrant communities at a Federally Qualified Health Center in New York prior to coming to RWJ. In addition to providing full spectrum family medicine care in New Brunswick, she is actively involved in medical student education and serves as the Associate Clerkship Director for the Family Medicine clerkship and Course Director for the Patient Centered Medicine and Health Equity course at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She was elected by students to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. Dr. Mathew is passionate about and focuses her education and research on Clinical Skill development, Community Based Service Learning, Immigrant Health and Spiritual Health.
