Biography
Dr. David Roofeh’s interest in teaching stems from core principles he learned as an undergraduate studying Philosophy and Psychology. He is a board-certified rheumatologist with expertise in systemic sclerosis and interstitial lung disease. He joined Rutgers as a faculty member in 2023 and is the Program Director for the Division of Adult Rheumatology.

Dr. Roofeh has a clinical interest in systemic sclerosis and interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD).
Research Interests and Description
Dr. Roofeh is the PI on SSc-ILD clinical trials.
Active education and research projects
- Dr. Roofeh designed a clinical-reasoning focused, cloud-based shared learning platform labeled “The Fellows’ WorkRheum”to teach his fellows, residents, and medical students.
- He is the PI on SSc-ILD clinical trials.
