Bio

Hanin Rashid is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and a faculty member in the Cognitive Skills Program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). She completed her undergraduate and post-baccalaureate education at Rutgers, earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology with honors. She also earned a Master of Education degree in Learning, Cognition, and development, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a certificate in Higher Education Leadership.

She provides individual consultation to medical and graduate students to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of study and test-taking strategies tailored to individual needs and integrated with coursework. She teaches study and test-taking strategies and time management to undergraduate students with an interest in health professions careers attending summer programs at the medical school.

She also has taught courses for the Rutgers Graduate School of Education; an online course in Assessment and Measurement and an Educational Psychology course, which she has also taught at Lafayette College and Montclair State University. Her research interests are in academic support in medical education, achievement motivation, and assessment of learning and teaching.
