Bio

Lee Ann Schein is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY.  Her Master’s Degree and PhD were conferred as a joint degree between Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Her post-doctoral training was completed at the Center for Agricultural Molecular Biology, Rutgers University, Cook College, New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Schein has many years of medical education experience.  She has been a Block and Course Director for several first-year courses at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since implementing the new medical school curriculum in August 2010.

For the 13 years prior to that, she was the Assistant Course Director for the M1 Microbiology and Immunology course. She is also the course Director of the Microbiology and Immunology course for Robert Wood Johnson Medical School’s Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences Program as well as for several courses at Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Schein, together with Dr. Abali is co-directing a new Culinary Medicine elective. This is a new initiative to bring Tulane’s Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine Program to RWJMS.
