Biography
Dr. Marie-Claire Maroun is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Rutgers University with specialized expertise in rheumatology, having completed fellowship at Wayne State University. With a strong background in autoimmune diseases and cancer research, she has contributed extensively to the field through publications, presentations, and clinical work.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Marie-Claire Maroun’s clinical interests are centered around the management of autoimmune diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory myopathies, vasculitides, and other autoimmune rheumatic disorders. She also focuses on providing comprehensive care for patients with complex, multi-system involvement and the management of comorbid conditions in autoimmune diseases.
Active research projects Retrospective Study on Clinical Characteristics, Outcomes, and Treatment Response in Seropositive vs. Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients A Phase I, multicenter, open-label study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, cellular kinetics, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy of P-CD19CD20-ALLO1 in patients with severe, treatment refractory systemic lupus erythematosus.
