Bio Summary

Dr. Paula Lucuara Revelo, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She did her undergraduate and medical school studies at the University of Connecticut where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society as well as the Gold Humanism Society. She continued her Pediatric training at Connecticut Children’s Hospital where she stayed as a chief resident. Dr. Lucuara then continued as an attending at the Primary Care Center at Connecticut Children’s Hospital for three years before moving to New Jersey. There, she was an Easy Breathing Physician Champion, providing education to community pediatricians on asthma management in primary care. Dr. Lucuara is now a board-certified Pediatric Hospital Medicine attending and practicing as a hospitalist at the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital. Her academic work focuses on inpatient management of eating disorders, improvement in health education to Spanish speaking families with Limited English Proficiency, and Acute and Post-traumatic stress disorder in Spanish speaking families of children admitted to the hospital. She is also passionate about undergraduate and graduate medical education and is a facilitator in the Patient-Centered Medicine & Health Equity course for medical students at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
